Trigger points are knots that develop in a muscle when it is injured or overworked. Headaches, neck stiffness, carpal tunnel type symptoms, tennis elbow, bursitis, frozen shoulder, back pain, low back stiffness, sciatica, and shin splints can all benefit from trigger point therapy.
Our doctors are skilled at locating and easing the pain from these trigger points. We apply pressure on the area causing the points to relax and release. We will show you stretches and exercises to do at home that will aid in healing and management.
Our doctors may also perform injections combined with manual modalities to speed up the healing process.

During pregnancy your posture, center of gravity, and body mass changes as the fetus develops. There is also a loosening of the ligaments, which hold the bones together, especially where the pelvis and spine connect. The average weight gain of 25 to 35 pounds, combined with the increased stress placed on the body by the baby, can sometimes result in severe discomfort.
Chiropractic care is a drugless way to relieve back pain and other symptoms that occur during pregnancy. Studies show that chiropractic is safe for mother and child, controls back pain, shorten labor, and can even help women get pregnant.
Even before you become pregnant, a chiropractor can help. They will be able to properly assess your body and diagnose any already existing imbalances in your pelvis or elsewhere that may increase your discomfort during pregnancy.
Additionally, they can detect factors in your skeletal structure that may lead to problems after you give birth.
After pregnancy, your chiropractor can treat you to help ensure that stretched out joints and loosened ligaments get back to their proper places

During a child’s formative years the spine is at its most vulnerable. Even before birth a baby’s head, neck, and back is placed under a lot of stress as it moves within the womb. This trauma is often further increased during the birth process. Treatment can consist of a series of gentle adjustments to the parts of the spine which are misaligned, as we would begin to remove any nerve stress and return the body to a state of ‘willingness’. Our Doctors may also give you nutritional and postural advice.
As your child grows, everyday playing, athletics, and the stress of growing and life can all lead to subluxation in your child’s spine. This may lead to a lowered resistance to illness and can result in poor function in the body’s natural healing process.
This is why a spinal check-up should be part of a yearly examination schedule. Prevention is key to a healthy and happy existence.
